Blanking EGR E250 C207 CDi

Hey, new here!!

I'm attempting to check out the EGR but also fit a blanking plate if that can be done?

How hard is it to do thanks.

Blanking plate by itself won't work. Straight into limp mode. Needs to be mapped out to be successful.

It already has been mapped out yesterday

If previously working OK it's position is now closed no need to blank , but you can blank if desired .

Better to leave it unblanked. That allows some exhaust heat to penetrate the EGR cooler, thus helping to heat your coolant more quickly. You will find engine warmup is noticeably slower without the EGR working.

There was a problem with the EGR before it was mapped, would this have an effect in any way?

Not really. Just make sure the egr valve is properly closed and not jammed slightly open.
