The computer in my c220cdi (01-plate) is telling me the front left indicator light is blown the holder seems ok , cant see clearly inside so thinking the track is damaged ( no wires on the bulb holder ) .powered by thought control or osmosis maybe
i understand there is a kit a203 826 0182 comprising a bulb holder with a single wire (cant get a pic ) ,i assume to power it , it connects into the normal plug !?
the driver side indicater has 2 wire a brown to earth on the strut and a white wire going into ajointed plug / pull apart connecter / do i plug in there or somewhere on the n/s headlight unit
dear ole merc wont say ,just drive 120 miles for us to see
i really dont want to buy a second hand unit just for a bulb socket
i would try to fix a wire for earth and one for power ,but where to plug it in aarrrrgh
advice or instuction would be appreciated
many ta,s
after doing a bit of lookin' it seems the wire goes into the left hand unit in the connecter - had a look, its black and white. so instead of pulling the pins in the connecter which gauranteed is gonna break. cutting the black and white wire midway and join to the connecter there and run an earth to the inner wing (anyone know if this kit has one wire or two ie live and earth). i think the kit is a more probable cure than opting for a plain connection plug in the light
