Blue smoke is normally oil related, its possible that oil has rund down the valve stems overnight, other ways of checking are, if the is a little smoke say after standing at the traffic lights and pulling away, then its valves, smoking every time you accelerate its bores.

Worn Valve Guides

Blue smoke on start ups is usually caused by worn valve stem guides. As the motor sits oil runs down the valve stems into the cylinders and is burnt off on start up and is normally associated with high mileage.

As far as the smell of oil, it can be caused by a number of things... from leaky valve covers dripping oil down on the exhaust manifolds to just needing a simple oil change. :D
