Hi guys and girls
I have a W211 on 2006 year facelift model it has a Nokia phone connection in it on arm rest can you tell me if one of these or both would plug into to it to make it blue tooth so a modern phone would work. Many thanks pictures included Screenshot_20221108_103248_com.facebook.katana_edit_331308414610903.jpg Screenshot_20221108_064411_com.facebook.katana_edit_331295238514030.jpg IMG_20221104_131536.jpg

I had the second one in your pics in my face-lift 06/07 W211 and it worked perfectly with bluetooth

Your current Nokia cradle should unplug and the Bluetooth one plug in in its place

I had the second one too in my 07 R Class ... that worked fine with bluetooth as well.
NB You could only use it for bluetooth phone calls though, you couldn't play music from your phone with it

Hi everyone as said before I have a W211 on 2006 facelift
It has No sat navigation
Trying to get the blue tooth for the phone and you have been very kind so far. We have narrowed it down one kind but seems to have two different types I have attached photos does anyone know the difference? Or what one is better to get? Also have part numbers on them.

Hi - My W211 doesn't have bluetooth as it wasn't specified when purchased. One thing I have heard is that the bluetooth is only for phone calls and not music. It's worth checking out to avoid disappointment.

they never offered updated firmware for these devices

instead they made 4 models over the years that look the same but all carrying different firmware - you want the latest as it'll be more compatible and more consistent in the way if behaves with later devices

the world of Bluetooth was turned on its head in 2012 - where the world shifted some security features, the way phone-books behave, but the main idea was to make the phone always on so you look for the car after 2012, not use the car to look for the phone (the car already knows the device is there) - its took most manufactures three iterations of firmware updates to land the shift in 2012 so everything worked the way they intended - most had it right by Sept 2012

other things happened in 2018 for motorbike headset linking up to the dashboards on modern bikes - that the issue nothing is static

in the pictures u had two devices

the very costly SiIver SAP set up, where SAP = SIM ACCESS PROFILE ( I wouldn't recco its very early tech - that is making a comeback but no current phones support this out of the box) ancient nokia's will do it, you can hack about on android and add it - I don't think iPhones have ever supported

and the normal BT set up most want, which is the smaller cheaper black one - its the later part number you need - if you search ebay the old ones with way out of date firmware from 50 quid the later ones are more like 250 GBP

you need to do the research - the blurred photos in your early posts I think are both really old devices

Mercedes-Benz Bluetooth UHI b67880000 200 quid might be newest

Mercedes-Benz Bluetooth UHI b67876168 150 quid might be new enough
