I foolishly did not have the factory fit phone carkit and now want to retro fit a bluetooth handsfree kit. I have been looking at the Parrot CK3000/4000. Has anyone fit either of these? If so where was the work done? Did you have it integrated with the dashboard screen and steering wheel buttons? Mines a CLK Cabrio and wonder if the voice activation is going to work with the hood down. Lots of questions, grateful for any answers. Thank you.

Carphone warehouse will fit you one but they're a pain in the *rse (Btooth that is)....I'd go for a proper HFK and install it on the Mercedes pod that sits to the left of your console. they're around £50.00 and wiring can integrate into stereo to mute etc...you can get a BTooth headset for around £150 but see if you can borrow one first to try out?

I prefer a proper wired HF for the car. Bluetooth is cool, but in your car, it is nice to have the phone held in place where you can see it, and if necessary, push buttons without too much distraction (I normally just use voice answering). Therefore haveing a "holster" that is wired or not wired does not make a difference?

Apart from the fact that a bluetooth kit isn't going to charge your battery!

I forget my mobile needs batteries as I never plug it into a charger. I use the car enough I never contiously put it on charge.

Here is a picture of my setup, in my old car.
