Bluetooth module

Have purchased Bluetooth module A2048200535 to replace existing pre-wired cradle. I have activated the Bluetooth function on the phone, Nokia 6300, but the MB module instructions also state the "remote SIM active" setting must be activated. Anyone else experienced a similar problem?

Why did you buy that particular cradle? Is your phone SAP compatible?

I think you may have the wrong cradle

According to Nokia, the 6300 supports "Bluetooth version 2.0 with Enhanced Data Rate (includes SIM access and Headset and Handsfree profiles) and stereo support for headsets" FWIW, it supports PBAP too.

We know the 6300 works with the HFP cradle and this is what we advise customers to have if they have a Nokia 6300.

Success at last! The remote SIM access profile is an automatic feature on the Nokia 6300 and does not therefore need to be activated. The new SAP bluetooth module is compatible with the Nokia 6300 and with a little much appreciated help from the MB Newcastle "bluetooth specialist" everything is up and running.
