Body repairs

Some of you good people who have met me, know I have a couple of bodywork issues with my SLK, rusty boot lid, and a rusty front wing, which is also a different colour silver to the rest of the car.

Well I am having it repared/sprayed, when I went to the body shop he had Mercs () everywhere, and it seems thats all he does!!

Anyway, wing and bootlid resprayed £300, if it turns out good, i will post up here with a contact number!! if he is rubbish you will all hear about it!!

I thought it may be useful to know this information.

And sorry S-A-M / Colin, the Bmw is going like a watch!!

and Dave test drove it, he said the box was far better than the merc box, i of course wouldnt allow myself to test drive it, ( incase of hate mail ), Have i opened a can of worms now maybe??

i tried my mates 2004 reg 530d sport for the hell of it just after i got my 210. man was i disappointed!80 odd k miles and very little nippier than my old 210, even though his is common rail (hope the 320 cdis go better than that!) ride was appalling, fuel economy similar, tiptronic box was a novelty (for me) but in auto mode in its sport setting was utter crap! the shifts were quicker than mine, but it revs past its peak! goes 1-200rpm too far in the rev band (turbo seems to stop boosting) then changes gear, then it goes again! steering a little too heavy (but mines a little too light for my tastes) but on the plus side, it did fel planted round bends compared to my 210 elegance (136k miles at the time!)
