body trim removal 123 body

My son rolled my 123 300d and were getting ready for re paint. Were stuck on the removal of the roof gutter chrome strips and the door chrome strips. Hate to beat them off! Anyone done offer advice?

Hello mate,

resprayed and restored mine twice. The trims will HAVE to be carefully pried off im afraid! There is no way around that i found. It didnt damage the chrome at all. Just remember to use new clips on the door ones. Pennies from MB.

I have taken my whole car apart and put back together many times, anything else, dont hesitate to email me!
