Every time I get some bolts from the dealer, the packet comes with a normal hex headed bolt and a 12 point bolt option.

In some cases, the 12 point thing would be easier to deal with, anybody know where to get these tools and how are they sized?

Also, the drive shafts are held on by similar bolts, anybody know where I could source the tool in the manual?

You will need a Torx driver or Torx bit with a socket attached. They are sizes with T and then a number depending on the size. You can get them in Halfords.

I've got some Hellfords jobs, but they are 6 pointed and look like they would slip under a heavy load.

Richard Moakes has posted these boys on another thread. They are Snapon (see the £ signs)

They look like six point as well.
