Anyone got any suggestions what to do to release the NS bonnet catch which is well lubricated. Have fitted new switches to the catches to try and get rid of red warning sign telling me bonnet was not closed. Suspect the outer cable is not has come out it’s location position-in the body of the catch have looked at lots of U tube videos that say remove the plastic panel that protects the bottom of the radiator etc these videos show you can access the catch from below the car not so on my 2011 E 350 saloon can’t even see the catch never mind access it ,these videos are of the earlier models I had a friend pull on the release lever and I bumped on the area above latch with my hand no joy drivers side released but insnt fully up due to other side being in the closed position
Can the catch be accessed if I remove the road wheel and inner plastic wing ? Hope some one out there can be of assistance thanks in advance
