Bonnet soundproofing R129

The above has almost fully disintegrated under my '99 SL bonnet. I assume if it is adhesive then it is probably a job even I can have a go at!

Can anyone recommend a suitable product/supplier balancing quality v value?

Have a look at the “R129co” or SL shop here in the U.K. I bought mine from a company in Germany “Carus” via the bay of fleas…very good.
A nice satisfying job to do.

I've been using the Dodo kit.
I start with the HexN, mats or roll, adhered direct to clean metal.
Then the Super Liner onto that.

You will end up with a fair bit of extra weight on the bonnet though.

Use something that can handle the heat, Dodo may just be for noise.
