I think code 1470 refers to the turbo transducer. If you search the forum you will find a very good thread on it.

It very much sounds like the vacuum transducer is the problem with those fault codes.

Trace the wastegate actuator vacuum pipe to a small plastic device with an electrical connection underneath and two vacuum pipes on top.

Let us know if it sorts it.

i have replaced the 2 valves but its still showing the same fault code p1470 so it must be a cracked hose but where to start looking is a mystery!

What car are you talking about?? Is it a conventional wastegate turbo, or a VNT??

I think you probably have variable nozzle turbine. The vane ring on these often seizes up, causing boost problems. Locate the actuater on the turbo centre and push it with a screwdriver to see if it moves freely...

I have a 220CDI that has had the the LIMP mode coming in at 3000rpm. I Changed the MAFF, still got the problem. I then checked that the TURBO actuator was working by sucking on the pipe, It was OK. I then removed the vac transducer nearest to the turbo. I simply blew through the base hole & covered the 2 top outlets alternately whilst blowing. ! outlet was easy to blow through, the second was somewhat harder. Whilst I was going purple in the face the unit started to click internally making a noise like a relay clicking on & off. At this point I realised that I had managed to remove an obstruction, dont know what though. I then remoned the second transducer (which appears identical to the first) from the other side of the radiator & did the same. What a wonderfull feeling of relief when I went up the A46 from Leicester for a test drive. The car is now driving perfectly & not going into LIMP MODE after reaching 3000rpm. Try it guys you never know!
