Hi does anyone know how the E300D 24 valve was originally depicted/en-scripted on the boot of the car. My car is devoid of any markings which tells which car this is, apart from the air intake gills in the offside front wing.
Just wondering
Thanks
Adrian

I would imagine it would just be E300 D in the usual position (left side of boot). Some later cars had the word Diesel or DieselTurbo on the right hand side. From memory the 24v logo was only ever used on the 300SL 24 and the 300TE 24. Never seen it on a diesel.

Cheers
So if you had a choice what would you put on the boot, if anything. Taking into consideration that this ( I hope ) is the last piece of a jigsaw that has taken quite a long time (and a sizable chunk of cash) to complete. It just seems as if it needs something on there.
Whadaya think???

Thanks
Adrian

I suppose a badge would add the finished touch. On the otherhand, you could leave it as it is, and keep them guessing

I would keep them guessing, I do. Why does anybody else need to know what you've got?
