Noticed the red led on my boot release switch on the center console was permanently on. but boot is closed.
Investigated and the boot light was out.
Checked and fuse 5 in the boot fuse box was blown (5 amp)

Replaced it, it blew in a flash.. tried a 10amp- blew again.

Also noticed the rear interior light is not working( presume they are linked) and the indicators do not flash when locking doors.

As an aside, is there a way to set a 'chirp' when remote open/locking the doors?

The short will be in one of the things not working ie lampholder or the like you do need a meter to see where the live is going to ground.

Re the bleep should be possible to fit a small siren to the air pump that runs for a few seconds when you lock/unlock.. I have a box of them somewhere
see what I can do, no on second thought you cant join up there, I will think about it.

i was told on another forum that the 'chirp' is now illiegal in the UK for new cars- news to me- as it is annoying, but also that if you program the car to the dutch set up, not sure what that means- then the chirp is there !

On the short, the day before i helped someone jump start and on connecting the leads there were quite a few sparks, could it be connected?
