Got this a while ago and put it away to wait for better weather to fit it, I then promptly forgot all about it due to the Covid 19 issue.

Today I gave my car a wash and general spruce up and stumbled across the spoiler in the cupboard where I'd put it for safe keeping, so, I decided to do a test fitting.

It's still to be painted, however, what's the general consensus please?

 Yes or

:( No? IMG_4450.JPG IMG_4454.JPG

It's a shame it needs to be painted because depending on the angle and light it almost looks ok straight out of the box. :D

There was a tube of mastic sent with it to stick it on, however I was thinking of using 3M VHB? double sided tape to do that as, it'll be a simpler, quicker fix, plus if I make an ass of it I can easily remove it and try again.

Opinions please, anyone else done this job and, what did you stick you spoiler on with?

At first I was going to paint it black to match the lower plastic trim on the bumper but I think Silver is the way to go, just need to get the paint and D/S tape now. :)

Silver it is chaps, I must admit that as soon as I test fitted it I thought that silver would look better, more grown up and classy, not at all boy racerish, as I think the black would have looked.

I'll post some pics when I get it done.

MAke sure you clean everything properly before applying! Rubbing alcohol to get all the old wax off.

Painting of a small spoiler like that is pretty cheap. I got a quote from a good place in York & they wanted £50. I ended up getting one from the link below in the correct colour.

If you have a part number it will come up on this site.

Black would look good, but so would silver, your choice, Jim.
And definitely 19mm VHB tape, if done properly it ain't going nowhere. :)
P.S. definitely don't do it Red.
;)

As much as red is my favourite colour Tony, to put a red spoiler on a silver car imho would look terrible.
