The bootlid lock on my '93 C220 used to centrally lock along with the doors, (if boot key slot was horizontal) using the 'blipper' remote key fob. Now bootlid  will only lock/unlock manually with the key. Using the key manually in boot lock still activates all central locking on & off (without alarm) for boot, doors & petrol flap so I presume vacumn lock system is working OK.

Does this mean the boot lock switch or its infra red receiver is faulty? (Haynes manual says only the early C-class has one on the boot lock).

Regards
Martin
