Boot lock

My dads boot lid won't lock. The catch is in the lock position, so won't shut properly. Tried with the key can't turn the key at all.

Cannot you just press the button in boot lid, and that should release the catch.

Maybe the switch in the car would release it not sure on that though

Nope button doesn't button in car doesn't either.

As the boot is open you can remove the lock complete, If the key will not turn you can spray some WD40 in and wriggle the key and it should turn.

I know the is a lever link that can break inside, not sure if it is that
