Hi all some assistance please,
We have 2002 230CLK Cabriolet which tonight has developed a boot problem, we opened the boot ok and as we did something fell out, cylindrical with a small wheel at one end an identifying number was printed on the part which is A208 800 0025. I have no idea what this part is.

Also we now cannot open the boot from either inside the car using the dash button or using the emergency key. There is nothing that we need to get urgently from the boot thank god.

Questions- Can anyone identify this part for me please?

How can i get into the boot, does this mean a trip to a MB dealership to get it sorted?

Many thanks for any help.

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem on my CLK230.
The boot opening mechanism (part marked A208 800 0025) fell out and the previous owner has completely ruined the barrel lock so I have no way to open the boot.

Did you (or anyone) ever find a solution to this problem?

Any advice on this topic would be very much appreciated!
Thanks
