Happy Sunday to you all.

both of my batteries are flat on my R230 and I can’t get the boot open. The key is just turning and nothing happens.

does anyone know of a way to get into the boot please. Starting to pull what’s left of my hair out now.

Can you get into the car? If so jump start it and go for a ride, the rear battery should charge enough to get in the boot if a dead battery is the issue.

do you have jump lead connections under the bonnet? If so, attach jump leads to AN Other car & either do as Flowrider suggest or just open the boot as normal & charge your battery/batteries

Smart + others :)
Jump the starter battery under bonnet, put ign key in and out of ign switch and it should switch over and be able to start car. Boot should then open off switch.

If you can get in you can open the bonnet. If you can open the bonnet put a battery charger in the battery under the bonnet and leave it to charge. Then start the engine, give it 10 to 15 minutes and the boot should open.

Hi. I have a problem on my W211. Boot won't open from handle (it opens from drivers door button or from key button). Plate number lights are fine, fuses are ok. Is there a known problem for this? What should I check?

Sounds like the handle has broken or the retaining clip has. You might have to remove the boot trim to access the handle

Thank you. I will try that. It is strange though because the handle seems to work just fine when I press it (the exterior part of it)
