BOSCH MECHANICAL INJECTION ON W111 SERIES-HELP

I HAVE BOUGHT A FINTAIL MERC IN A THOUSAND BITS,DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW ABOUT REPLACING THE MECHANICAL INJECTION/SETTING THE PUMP TIMING.
ENGINE IS REBUILT AND THE CAMSHAFT CORRECTLY TIMED,ALL I HAVE TO DO NOW IS REFIT THE INJECTION PUMP UNIT.DOES ANYONE HAVE A SPARE WORKSHOP MANUAL KICKING AROUND????

Wow what a project what area are you in?. The best guy I know Is a Mr Ron Leigh at MB UK (DCUK now) . I have limited knowledge of the 111's is it a Bosch system or Krugal Ficsher (can't spell) there is another very good (Independant) guy in the south and I will dig into the memory banks and post when I can remember his name

I'm up in northumberland,and yes its a bit of a nightmare at the minute.The car has a bosch system,i have been told it is similar to the system on early 70's porsches????

Hi

I would find someone who knows. Fitting & mostly setting up these pumps is no easy feat. Make sure the pump in good order as if moisture gets into it. The rack seizes.


Sorry I can't be more specific. I never actually fitted one. Set a couple up as an apprentice but thats a long time ago. I just know you need to know what you are doing.
