Having now taken delivery of the B200 CDI (well pleased) just noticed the Brabus ad in MB enthusiast claiming around 50 hp more for £1395, obviously this needs doing ..... any opinions on Brabus would be much appreciated

IMO Brabus are a very good tuning firm. Saw a D6 once on the M4, although I could never see why anyone would pay an additional £25,000 on top of a W211 W320cdi.

Or an additional £125k for a Kleeman. As blob says good products from Brabus, and now is the time to do it so you have the max value from it.

First rule of dealing with management, questions you know the answer to don't need to be asked (or even mentioned)

I have to admit, I do wonder if she would notice, therefore working on the "never Volunteer information" theory !

I understood that it was an important update, what can happen is the splangle can tangle with the splooffit,it really improves the rapprochement, most of the new ones have it.

Brabus good according to most reports but bear in mind you will lose fuel economy and don't forget to notify the Insurance Company as otherwise your policy could be null and void. Mnay have small print which effectively says 'any modification which affects performance etc etc'. Not worth the risk.

By the way, I should ask Brabus for the benefit to the 0-60 time as have read on other threads that the claimed increase in BHP doesn't do as much for acceleration as you would expect --especially on diesels where the torque is such a big factor.

I did 5000 miles in a B200cdi auto and found the performance fine in normal use. 0-62 in 9.6 seconds seemed ample for the type of car especially in UK traffic. Surprisingly nippy and quicker on Merc's own figures than the 2 litre petrol.
