E250 w212 14 plate
Hi All,

Had a go of changing my front discs on my 14plate E250 but couldn't get the 18mm caliper bolts to shift as not much leverage on trolley jack?

Any tips?

Thanks

Turn the steering and you should be able to get a breaker bar in (or an “ugga dugga”) :)

Sometimes origionals are locktighted. A decent knuckle bar will loosen em.

Me -2019 GLC 350 coupe AMG line. Mrs- ford kuga 65 plate awd powershift .
Ring spanner and a 4lb mash hammer , shock
them loose ,then use a socket n ratchet . Failing that try a week's course of steroids and eat steak pies.

Gas blow torch also helps , just watch the flame on anything flammable.

+1 vote for turning the steering wheel full lock to improve access for a breaker bar.
Note that some cars use extremely high torque settings now for calliper bolts as well as being thread locked.
