Hi.

Has anyone painted their brake calipers and ordered new decals. I'm doing my 2013 E350 sport and just wondered if anyone can tell me the correct size of decal? they seem to be in mm 70/75/77/80/etc.

I'm looking at you SmartAMG :)

loads of times pal , just measure where you want them to go and order accordingly
Took the words outta me mouth, although I went for the round Mercedes badge as opposed to the words Mercedes Benz, less chance of snagging one of the letters when cleaning. :)

Jon, what exactly did you do to paint them? Wheel off, disc off, mask hub?

Wheel off, wire brush and brake cleaner then a sand then more brushing and brake cleaner.

4 coats of Halfords Caliper paint

You've either got a posh carpeted garage or you've just driven your car into your front room! If the latter .. you're in the mire for getting paint on the carpet! :D:D

Did mine slightly different but same result, I just used one of those green scouring pads, then blew the caliper with me garden blower, to get rid of all the dust, I tried Halfords caliper paint, but didn't like it ,found it to watery, I use Halfords engine paint, much better, it's thicker, so just two coats, no masking, small brush, and take ya time. :)

Using engine paint on brake callipers! You’ll invalidate your insurance!!! :p:D
