Brake fluid/ pads warning light occassionally flickers

Very occassionally (about 4/5 times in 6 months) when I go round a long tight corner (eg; roundabout) the brake pad / fluid level light illuminates very breifly(1 second), then goes out again.

I checked the fluid level and alls ok.

If it is the pads getting low wouldnt it come on every time I braked? Normally I'm not touching brake pedal when it has come on.

It has never come on whist in a straight line whether braking or not.

Like I say it happens very rarely and a less observent proberly would never notice it (wife comes to mind :lol: )

Any suggestions?

Had a similar prob once before (not on a merc), it was the wire going to the back of the pad had come loose. It would earth down and bring up the warning light every now and then, normaly when turning.
