I have had the "bulb failure" warning light on for a few days.
I changed the rear offside brake light bulb which was not illuminating but this did not cure the problem. (the nearside is OK). I swapped the nearside brake light bulb and socket with the defective one and the problem still persisted.

Could it be a problem with the fuse. Are there 2 fuses , one for each brake light and if so where are they ?

Any help apreciated

Rear lamps prone to melt at connection point and connector sinks into plastic, have a close look at the light itself, also clean up holder connection, you might be able to bend the connector out a bit.

Yea, I bent out the connector on the bulb holder and this seems to have fixed the problem

THanks Joe !!
