There's got to be a problem there somewhere. I've now done more than 50k on a set of rear pads in a 02 medium wheel base, mixed multi drop and distance. On mine there's a load sensing valve under the back operated by a hi-tech coat hanger type arrangement. If yours has the same set-up I'd say it's set wrong and the rears are working too hard.

Load sensing valve, over rear axle or caliper slides seized but more likely the first as I am assuming it's wearing the pads evenly and a caliper would not. Try pressing the brake or after a run and loosen a bleed niplle, be careful as it's probably under pressure, if it squirts out, then it would point to the load sensing valve. Free off with the usual stuff buy working it back and forth while appling it.

Is it the frts or backs thats locking on? When you've got the fault carefully slacken a brake pipe at the master cyl, if it squirts out then there is a hydraulic build up and we are looking at a different fault. Make sure you are sure it's frt or rears as well as both sides as it all fits into forming a picture of what could be wrong.

I realy need more info to work on. Are you sure there is not a limitting valve fitted, just I've looked at ours, 2000 to 07 and they have them, does it feel if it's braking correctly, ie, does it pull up straight does it fell as if it's all rear braking, doe s the abs cut in? Are all rear pads wearing the same way, ie wearing at angles or inners more than outers aswell as sides. Is the pedal excessivley high, is there any travel on it, does it build up as you drive, ie get increasingly higher, is the brakes after a run starting to slow you down? The more info I have the easier it is, fixing it's easier finding out what is wrong is always the hard bit.
