Brakes front and rear

Hi, This is my first post to a great site, i am currently renewing the brakes on my 1986 560SEC which i recently purchased. It needs work and i am wading in with the brakes first. I have done the front discs and pads and i am about to do the rear discs, pads and handbrake shoes. Has anyone done this before and what issues should i be aware of, cheers.

Hello and welcome to the forum, nothing special one the wonderful car that you have, just back off the parking brake so the the disc/ drums clear the wear ridge

Take the opportunity to lubricate all of the parking brake linkage and moving parts

Bought it cheap at the end of December 2008 as a rolling project, it has the rust below the rear window which will need sorting soon, apart from that all seems good,
