Braking Vibration

E300 turbo diesel. when braking the ABS seems to be activating all the time .anyone had this problem?

Hello and welcome to the forum, you have a warped disc, can you fell it through the steering

Previously:- ML270, 3 x Vito Dualiners, SLC450
Surely if the ABS is activated, the pulses will be recognised as being at a constant frequency, regardless of road speed.

However, if your discs are warped, then you will notice slow pulsation at low speeds, and faster pulsation at higher speeds.

Its just unheard of to have this type of ABS fault, that all really.

Its normally a disc that has warped, it could be the back or the front.

Are you going to do it your self

Remove each wheel at a time and fix a dial guage to establish how much "run-out" you have on each disc - you may well have more than one disc warped, anyway you always change them in pairs

thanks for your help.
sounds like warped disks. unfortunately cannot replace them myself, have to go to a garage.
