Breakdown cover

Has any one experienced MB breakdown service? what is it like in contrast to the A/A, Green Flag, RAC etc? Is it worse, equal or better, after all being free with servicing it does appear great on paper.

The only downside afaik is that it doesn't cover for minor mishaps - lost keys - that type of thing.

I have an idea,, you make a hole in your rad or something and call them out to test.
As I live in Dorset,, if the wait is too long, just ring me and I will bring you a nice cup of coffee, hows that

There was a mention in the telegraph on saturday if you can get a copy - they arrived within an hour despite it being middle of the night , and the reader was very pleased with their service.

Thanks for all that, being new to MB motors I am still finding out the good, bad and ugly though the last post by carabind is encouraging.

I live in sunny Somerset by the see also its not so good today i live 400yrds from the sea overlooking the waves and the storms are battering me,my experience with MB breakdown cover was good battery failed at home took a while for the man to arrive but i was kept imformed of the timescale by phone and as i explained to them i was at home and in no great hurry was quite happy.Man came checked car told me battery was kaput
he had a new one in his shiny van which he fitted, made sure all was working okay was very polite and new what he was talking about and would not take a tip good service.
