If true, just shows how confident the drivers are of the cars safety features that they would crash on purpose.

Or how desperate to please and retain their drive.

He didn't retain the drive for too long though did he? I can't say I have a lot of respect for Piquet Jr. If you are going to do it then you should be prepared to live with the consequences, to cry foul now seems sour grapes.

As we have seen many times before, in any sport where big money is involved. it is - sadly - naive to believe that competition does not go hand in hand with corruption.

Well said, but this is on another plane. One could fleetingly imagine a strategy such as this-but to make it a reality?FB to me could well be capable of many things, but PS always came over as a totally 100% down the line sort of man.

The thing is nothing is being said about the pressure that the main renault company was putting the f1 team under,
They had been going through a very lean spell (by there standards) & what with the current financial climate we dont know that the whole thing was staged to appease the main company,

I personally think that Piquet jnr should take the rap also, after all, he could have contributed to another person's death or injury.

A few years ago Stirling Moss said the very same thing about a certain German driver crashing into Damon Hill.
