Brightening Dash Light

Are there any replacement bulbs available for W123 1981 300D dash. I am unable to see the speedo and odo digits at night. Rheostat works fine. Couple of weeks ago cleaned up the instrument board and replaced all the lamps with new ones. But no significant change.

Any body please help.

you will have to strip out the speedo and dismantle it there is a clearplastic strip at the bulbs you will probably find it is either burnt or is needing a clean.

THE DASH LIGHTS ON THIS MODEL ARE NEVER VERY BRIGHT AS I90 SAYS THE CLEAR PLASTIC REFLECTER WILL BE MELTED WITH HEAT FROM THE BULBS

500sl says try speck savers he probably should have tried speck savers before buying his E class which split in half.
