Things have changed a bit since then. There is nowhere really for that amount of crap to get trapped. As Rob ^ has said it is a matter of basic maintenance really. Mines a 2017 and looks a little different to yours and is much easier to keep tidy

Dont agree on basic maintenance .benz prob sell most cars in europe and should be able to resolve that I would rather not end up with blocked drains and wrecked electronics than some crxp lane following system or other gimmick

As said - basic maintenance. Those leaves been there Fro autumn so the hood hasn’t been opened for some while.

If you park under or near a tree, this happens. Not sure how you can slate mb for this. However putting rubber tapered funnels at bottom of drains that do block with just dirt is a problem.

When EmilysMum's Citroen poured water inside the car via the interior fan it was due to the who e leaves etc but .... Citroen, in their infinite wisdom, put a drain point right under the wiper motor completely out if sight.

Somewhat harsh. I had a Citroen back in the 90s that only ever had one minor issue in 80k miles.
Unlike the Saab and Audi I had following it....

I’ve had three Peugeot’s over the years and nothing really wrong with any of them, even the last one with the three breakdowns (all of which mechanical mind and could have happened to any car) were great cars just not an Eclass

I had a 406 Exec when they first came out in '96. What a nail of a car that was, it rattled in the door panels, it was gutless and the brakes failed twice. It was a company car at the time and I spoke to our people and they said to me that if I can achieve 'X' amount for it, just get rid of it. And as Fleet Disposals Manager of that company that is exactly what I did.
