Broken Key

I have a C Class 2002 Estate.

The key has broken.

It still works perfectly but the button which locks the car has cracked and will ultimatly fall apart.

Can I get a replacement case and buttons for the key? Or do I need a complete new key and reprogramming etc.

How much does all this cost?

I have never had a key for a previous car break is this common with Mercs?

there is another thread on this if you want to do a quick search. One of the other guys bought a key of ebay and just swapped the case.

get a cheap replacemt from ebay and gut it to swap the insided over,

been there done that.

So have I and it works, E Bay for anything from £7 to £20.
Don't pay any more as there will always be another one around in a day or so.
