Bull bars

Has anyone fitted bull bars to a w447 v class, I’m wondering if there would be issues with the 360 cameras or parking sensors

Not sure where you’re based but most New figment “bull bars” were banned years ago (in the Uk).

You might be able to get an A-Frame type that just goes around the number plate area. That will no doubt interfere with the parking sensors and front camera depending upon where it fits in relation to them.

Ah so I can't protect my motor from people or wildlife wandering about in the road,!
If explosive hinges go of I will be making my own std type replacements. 40 yr in Africa has me out of the loop ref hinges and bars.. if a pedestrian thru no fault of mine activated the bonnet safety feature I hope but somehow doubt I can get him to pay to fix it. If it's my fault no doubt plod will use the law to deal with me..

Because they gut pedestrians in low speed impacts, in particular they eviscerste children.

In the old days it was education.

We do, here. Other countries are different, but the regs concerning low speed pedestrian safety are global.

I understand you I also understand if I thru neglect,accident or stupidity hit a pedestrian.the law will deal with me ,both criminally and financially . Will the law deal with a pedestrian in the same way?
Frankly I am not confident of that.

Sure, but laws are country specific; UNECE regs tend not to be, certainly not for sweeping design issues like this.

It amazes me how car manufacturers have to comply with pedestrian 'friendly' crash protection rules but those with motorhomes can then go out & add fixed points to the front of a Smart/Fiat 500/etc for towing behind their camper using an A frame ......

which is another potential can of worms.

I suppose it is difficult for the law to deal with a hit perdestrian if they have been killed....

I spent decades in Africa most of it on mineral exploration only one vehicle had home made bull bars
If you run into a buffalo at night bull bars are not of much help.

****** hell. God, I once ran into a medium sized dog and it made a mess of the front of my old Nissan 200SX (Dog got up and ran off).
I cant even imagine what it would be like to run into an African Buffalo.

Big game like to stand on a tarmac road at night, particularly Elephant and Buffalo, it's warm like a storage heater.
Unless they are facing you you cannon see them, eyes shine in car head lights.
This was in the late 1950s 1960s. Thousands of buffalo still roaming about and others.
