I have a small hole in my front bumper ('96 124) where some jerk reversed into me with a tow ball.  The hole is only a few square inches with some cracks around it.

I have checked out replacing the part but its about £170 unpainted.  Is there any way of filling this hole so it looks better than the foam peeking out.

any advice on materials etc please

Bumper repairs

Keith.

You don't say where you live, so a little difficult to recommend anyone in particular. A friend of mine used to have his own business until recently, doing just the thing you require, so the short answer is, "yes it can be done", i do know that people like Autoglass were getting into this type of thing, they may be a good place to start off with.

Bumper repairs

If it is of any help, I had my front bumper re-painted at "Scuffs" (bodywork franchise) for cosmetic reasons (to remove stone-chips). I paid £155 for a first-class job, and spoke to another customer who had suffered the same fate as you.

He paid £155 for a bumper repair, so it might be worth checking out the local bodyshops or "Dentmaster" type firms?
