Burnt Mercedes CLK

This is my Mercedes after the fire on the 31st March 06. Mercedes have been out in August to look at it,there engineer came out, took bits back to Germany for lab testing. I dont know what they are trying to hide but they wont give us a copy of the report and won't tell us the cause. The car has only done 12,000 miles and was all original. At the time of the fire it was parked and locked up on my drive.

So you have been without a car all this time, when does the all lived happy there after bit come in.

Could it be related to this C-Class battery fault? Maybe using same/similar circuit?

Electrical faults are a big cause of car fires, Volvo XC90 apparently has a serious issue too.
