The only difference I knew about was the writing table fitted to the back on the passenger seat. Looks good, Good luck!

I don't think so .. :-(

Anyway, I have found this one which I really like. It's a 1998, S320 with 60K on the clock and FMBSH and within budget. :D It's for sale in the trade. What do you think?

Got have that wooden rear seat table for "Business Pack". Also only long wheel base. Also don't ever recall seeing a 500 model, which seems strange.

If it's half as clean, straight and loved as it looks in the photo, grab it!

Certainly looks pristine, and with that mileage should be good for a few years.

One point, you were originally looking at the 5Lit, and this is the 3.2.

Personally I have found the 3.2 to be a great engine, whilst not the fastest it is adequate, and will return something like 27mpg overall.

Good luck!

Heart definately pushed towards the 5litre (for once - just once - I would have had a car whose engine is bigger than the one in my Sons car..!) - but head ruled and, when I saw this example - I didn't care that it wasn't the 5litre.

As I remember the 320 was a good compromise between performance and economy. The 280 did struggle a bit with the bulk. Looks a nice example that one.

Stumpy, I notice that you have/had a Griff 500 :D My son had 2 in succession. Hood down, Gloucestershire, summer, dry roads, sports exhaust, Father & Son at play - what is a 'speed limit'..!!!??? Brilliant car - manic - totally MAD. Sadly the last one had to go, when a Little One was expected.

p.s He bought an E43, which was a nightmare :( and now runs an M5.

Been out in the Griff today as it is lovely and sunny here. Your son and I are very similar - I have an M5 too, awesome piece of kit and was toying with the idea of selling it, but I think I will sell my kidneys first......:D

The silver s320 looks great, The Business edition is a great extra to have, You get the tables in the back and that thing in the middle to hold stuff and charge phones and an early version of sat nav.
Also 320 is not quite the same as 500 but its a lot cheaper on petrol. You dont get that thunder under you foot, it comes at price.

I've seen some of these business edition cars that are like mini Maybachs, with electric heated rear seats, fridge, phones and fax etc etc. If you are going to be bimbling around London then I doubt you'd really notice the reduced oommmff over a 500. And people of London won't stone you as you drive past.

All good news.!

I have spoken to the dealer, who has confirmed that it is in absolutely mint condition. The dealer has offered to get it serviced (due on Assyst). The MOT is until the end of January 2009, so I put in an offer of £500 below asking. Just have to wait and see now. :(

I've gone and done it..!!

Thanks to this Forum, I put in a bid for the car (pictured) and it was ACCEPTED by the Dealer.

I collect it when I am next in the UK...in about 2 weeks.

I now have TWO MB's - how lucky am I..?? :D :D :D :D
