Buying a C43 AMG...

I used to have one of these, it was a corker.

My brother in law is looking for one, found a 1998 S Reg with 80,000 Miles on it for £8500, this seems a bit 'cheap', I sold a 1998 S Reg about 2 years ago with 50k on it for £12500.

I've seen the pics (not that they are a good gauge always) and will view tomorrow night with said Brother In Law - it looks nicely maintained etc.

HPI has it as imported, but I thought they were all imported?

I know what I'm looking for in terms of history/faults/ride/drive etc, but does anyone else think this is a bit cheap?

It's standard spec RHD.

Looks nice, price looks about right too, take a close look at the drivers door and passenger door, look like they have been painted, if you see the car in the evening the colour change will be more obvious.

Ask the seller if it has a Cat C D status on the V5

Hilarious, this IS my old C43!!!! I sold it to the guy 2 years ago, he's looked after it really well and it's still mint.

So my brother in law will be a proud owner after an RAC check.

Completely bizarre coincidence but a very happy outcome.
