Hoping to buy a W113 "Pagoda" SL and have seen several advertised thro' Mercedes Direct.
Has anybody got any experience of buying from them ?
If so are there any particular things to look out for (not only on the actual car but also at the Dealer's) ?
Does a budget of £ 20K sound enough for a well maintained/reasonable history 280SL ?

Any help/advice greatly appreciated  Thanks

£20k might be just enough for one in good nick.

The mag in question was last December's Classic & Sports Car. Back numbers are £5 + £1 p&p from Haymarket Reprints, PO Box 200, Abingdon, Oxon, OX14 3FG, tel 01235 534323.

Happy hunting. Shame there's no smiley for 'envious'! :)
