Any info would be greatly appreciated

I'm looking at the moment at buying a CLK 230 Komp. Round about the 2000 spec. Does anyone have any tips or things to look out for when buying.

So far i've seen they're full of toys like the sat nav, leather, 6 speed so obviously im going for the highest spec i can for round about £12000. I'm not a soft top man to be honest so it's the coupe that appeals.

If there's any 'characteristics' that are worth looking out for i'd be very grateful if you'd share the wealth.

Cheers
Fraser

Buy a 320 auto would be my advice. Leather is a must too.

I would second that. The 230's engine note/characteristics are not really in tune with the rest of the car. Get either a 6 or 8 cylinder car. Also don't compromise on leather. If your budget doesn't stretch to a 2000 car, consider higher milage or an older car.
