Buying SL500 1996-2000....any good road test reviews?

I am just in the process of buying an SL500 from around these years and am keen to get as much information together before going and looking at a few and hoped that someone could help with any good road tests, or similar information that will help with this activity?

Any links or help would be very well received.

Have a look in the back of Autocar, they do reprints of "buying Secondhand" type articles.

You should also be able to get a reprint of the Road Test. I remember they ran one as a long-term staff car and were sad to see it go....................mind you, they wern't paying for the repairs :wink:

I just recently bought a '92 500SEL and before buying did a lot of research. Check out these two links as they are comprehensive reviews. Both however are USA sites reviewing USA models, but I tthink you'll find them informative.
