Hi All,
I have been for a while after a late 500sl, however a low milage late example is a touch too rich for me. I have come across this one and hope to view on Sunday so any coments and what to look out for would be more than appreciated. If anyone lives near Leeds and is availableto assist then the beers are on me
Automatic, first registered on 1st August 1987, E registration. Finished in rare Aubergine red metallic with full cream leather trim and carpets. Perfect black mohair soft top, original body coloured hard top with heated rear window and immaculate roof lining. Equipped with very useful factory rear seats option including seat belts. Mercedes alloys with very well treaded Pirelli 6000 Powergy tyres. Power steering, ABS, power windows, heated seats, remote control mirrors, exterior temperature gauge. Sony stereo with Bosch power antenna. Remote control alarm / immobiliser with invoice for fitting, which also controls the central locking. Full option V8, 5 litre fuel injected engine (runs on unleaded fuel). Switchable (economy/sport mode) automatic gearbox. Mechanically excellent, oil pressure and running temperature are both perfect. Full Mercedes main dealer / specialist service history complete with two service books and numerous invoices in bound history file. Latest full service / brake overhaul completed on 24th April 2007 at London marque specialist at a cost of £1078 with invoice to prove. MOT until 20th February 2008, taxed until 1st March 2008. High Mileage, hence low asking price! Very reliable car, in regular use, just completed journey of several hundred miles without fault. Garaged, does not leak oil / fluids onto floor overnight !
