Buying tips - E55 AMG (W210) or CLK55 AMG (W208)

Looking to buy either of the above
Budget around £8k
Fuel consumptionnot bothered as existing car only averages 23
Insurance not a problem as I work for a broker and get it cheap !

More interested in things to look for mechanical wise that MB would never own upto....

Also any info on the 'rust' issue I keep seeing mentioned would be appreciated

Get the clk in my opinion, both great cars but the 210 may rot

Yea 208 CLK AMG would be my taste too. Very quick and very impressive, but do not go for Cabriolet
