Bought these wheels with nice Pirelli tyres with 7MM tread no cracks looked fine....then noticed the date 2006!..aarrgghh...they have to go in the re-cycling (£15 at my local tip)...really when people sell tyres on Ebay they should have to make mention of the manufacturing date.

Trouble is when it comes to tyres, as long as they are round, black, showing thread and cheap 99% don’t care. The ones that do, are sadly a minority!

I bought a set of Mercedes wheels & all season tyres for a SLC, 3 years ago on eBay.
They were advertised as 18 month old only used for one winter. Before I bought them I asked for the age of the tyres, they were under 2 years old.
It was a fixed price sale £400 plus £40 delivery, an excellent buy.
