C 180 W203 your views?

Hi people

I have the possiblity to by a 2001 180 manual, mileage is 23000 with full history. I don't know yet the equipment inside but might know the pros and cons?

From what I hear, 1.8 C class manuals are not that desireable, but if u like it go for it. I would recommend a 2.0 Auto, or at least test drive both and see the difference :wink:

Hi, drove a C180 manual today, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, glad it was only for a few miles. Go for the auto. Also highly likely to be a classic!

I'll second that. Don't ever buy a mannual Merc, period. Also make sure that it has A/C. Somewhere in 2001 or 2002, C class prices were dropped, and along with that Classic edition lost A/C. To get A/C, one had to get 'SE' spec.

In a few years down the line trying to shift a non A/C Merc will be as easy as trying to sell ice to Eskimos!
