c 180 water pump

c 180 t water pump needs replacing........ is it an easy job and where the best place to buy a new one in the uk..and is worth a fitting a none genuine part. mercedes is saying £285 inc vat all in.any special tools required to do it urself.

Don't know about C class, but I did one on a 230E 1992 last year. £45 from Europarts. Took about 1 hour 45 minutes. Pretty easy, but line up the belt tensioner properly. I did not and it snapped! Normally an easy job on an old E class. Europarts are great, and 10k on, no problems.
