c 200 strange electrics

my 98 c 200 has a strange fault some times when i start up the traction control will not turn off the electric fan runs all the time and cruze control wont work .If i turn off and switch back on 9 out of 10 times all work fine. some times have to switch off a couple of times but allways works in the end any ideas where to start checking. is there any way to reset the electronics

what you are describing is a failiure of the chassis can system, the reasons for which can be many and varied ,is your car 202 or 203 if its the latter try using the spare key as i have had a few instances of the key creating this fault

its a 202 thanks any ideas would be helpful will try other key as well

Take a look in the fuse module box they can get water inside,, look under the front SAM
