can antone tell me if these fail regular at 50000 mile intervals? or does it depend on other factors? i have just bought a p reg 250td elegance with 97000 on the clock and was wondering if they will need changing? thanks:confused:

The only time you need to change the heater (glow) plugs is when you find the car difficult to start when cold and this will be indicated to you by the glow plug light illuminating after the engine has started.

glow plugs.

thanks for that ian. the car is starting first time when cold with no light for heater plug coming on. would these have been changed on the big service at any time as standard? or only on failure? the car has full service history which i will get sometime this week. regards
