Has anyone any experience of the wipers not switching off with the igniton on? They stop when I switch off the ignition. I've tries a new wiper switch on the steering column, new SAM unit in the engine bay and a new wiper motor - all totally off the mark! Any ideas??

Sorry - I forgot to mention (it gets worse) - it hasn't got rain sensor wipers!

Chassis no is WDC2030162R100291 - Mercedes dealer checked it for me and confirmed no rain sensor. It does have light sensor though. Is that unusual? I suppose it would be the next - if not the first- thing to try out after all the other stuff I've tried.

For security reasons it may be a good idea to edit your post to censor your chassis number. Private messaging is always best for private info :)

OOPs - you're right. You can tell I don't do this very too often!
Is the "Post Reply" button private (only to the previous respondent)...and "Quick Reply" the public one? I know it's all in the small print somewhere, but then if I was inclined to read that I might have sorted out the problem with my wipers :)

The VIN number is on the windscreen on this car and if anyone wanted a number they could take from Tesco car park or a dealer

Just looked the car up also confirm no sensor, it would not be the light sensor
