Hi, I have just purchased a 1999 c class esprit saloon, it looks and drives great but does`nt have alloy wheels fitted. the current steel wheels are 15" with 195/65 tyres, is there any poblems fitting 16" alloy wheels? and were this size fitted to the sport and maybe elegance models as I`ve seen some for sale second hand from reputedly a 1999 sport model. any help appreciated cheers.

the c class is a brilliant car, you will have no problem putting upto 18" alloys on there. I had the 15" on there upgraded to 17" and now my c is on 18" with 40mil drop. I would recomend the merc amg replica wheels in 17" with 225/45/17 all round the car drives the same but firmer, a bit more aggresive with 18", you loose some of the smooooth factor.

if you decide for 18" get 225/40/18 tires you should clear the arches although might get some rubbing of tyre on a full lock.
